army of light army of shadow

Okay, here is my entry for the Wacom Intuos 4 Good vs Evil contest. There are some amazing submissions so at this point I can only keep my fingers crossed.

No photo manipulations were used.

Drawn and painted in Photoshop with Wacom Intuos 3. aprox 84 hours of painting time. Original file is 20x20 at 300 dpi.

I have never drawn demons before so for my first time I guess they didn't turn out to bad.

While I was able to do the army of shadows in one layer, it didn't quiet work while building the army of light. So each angel had to be created separately. I was trying to create a different feeling between the two forces. I wanted the army of shadow to give a feel of heavy and awkward. While the army of light of confidante and grace. Hopefully I came somewhere close.
