It's been almost a year since I have really posted any art here, or even updated things. Sorry, things have been busy, evolving, growing, changing. A lot of it in good ways, my daughter is in college, my oldest son graduated high school and is getting ready to go into the Air Force. I couldn't be prouder! My youngest son and I are rolling with the changes and with my best friend Patrick, I am now employed, working from home, continuing with my college classes and feeling human again. Don't get me wrong, we have had our tough days but have been blessed with being able to have some amazing days full of fun and friends. So things continue to change and I am hopeful that it will be filled with good things so we can leave the black spot of our past behind.
One of my new favorite things is Pacific Rim, my friend Dawn and I came up with our own pilot team. (Yes, I am 100% geek) We finished our soft costumes for Shore Leave Convention this past weekend and we are getting geared up to start working on the armor. Haven't seen Pacific Rim? You should! It's awesome! We had a group which was so much fun. A new friend was so sweet and very trusting to allow me to draw on his arms with marker for his Newt costume. Our Marshal Pentecost looked amazing! And my friend Andrea made a fantastic Sasha from the Cherno Alpha team. These are some of the things that help keep me going. Want to see the pictures? You'll have to look me up on Facebook. I am still trooping with the 501st Legion, it is a part of who I am and I love the people I volunteer with. They are amazing mix of creative and energetic people. It keeps me charged up.
Now as the art goes, I am currently working on several projects, and just for the new people who haven't fallowed me before, I am a single mom, I have bills, I can't do art for free. Please understand that I am going to an art college, and it cost a lot of money, so does feeding and clothing growing children/teens. But don't be afraid to say HI!
Oh! and everyone who has friend-ed me, favorited my art pieces and left comments. Thank you soooo, soooo much! I know I have not had time to thank everyone individually like I use too. But every single comment, and favorite makes me smile! Thank you again!!!
